The Cord mirror, a brilliant design by Roberto Paoli, pays homage to the geometric brilliance of Kepler. Drawing inspiration from Kepler’s intricate works, Paoli crafted a circular mirror that captivates the eye. The mirror is ingeniously divided by a cord, a segment connecting two points of a circle without passing through its centre, as defined in geometry. Paoli diligently adhered to Kepler’s chosen proportions, accentuating the disparity between the two parts of the circle. To further enhance this distinction, he adorned each section with mirrors of distinct colours, creating a captivating visual interplay.
