Bensen was founded in 1981 in Vancouver, Canada, by designer Niels Bendtsen. Bensen Italia was founded in 2010 in cooperation between Niels Bendtsen and Paolo Chiarot. For almost four decades, Bensen products were designed and manufactured in Vancouver at their location on Railway Street. In 2018, Bensen moved production exclusively to Italy.
